We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in our New York office. .

Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable Focus

code and post all vendor invoices, including obtaining all approvals
set up new vendors
handle all vendor related issues and questions
reconcile vendor statements
process and enter all expense reports in accordance with company policy
- follow up on all expense related questions with the submitter
enter customer credits and move monies
deposit and post customer checks
answer sales tax questions
reconcile foreign currency bank accounts
assist with weekly pay run
scan, organize and file all invoices electronically
various month end related tasks
assist with year-end audit and other ad hoc tasks

Qualifications:

bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

strong analytical skills and attention to detail
strong written and verbal communication skills
solid understanding of basic accounting principles
proficient in Microsoft Office
2+ years of related experience
